  1. Give a critical account of Land reforms under the leadership of Devaraj Urs in Karnataka.
  2. Trace the various dimensions and facets of backward class movement in Karnataka. How is it a part of a larger movement directed towards social change.
  3. Discuss the nature and key issues raised by the peasant movement in India, with special appraisal on peasant movement in Karnataka
  4. Give a descriptive comparison between Westernization and Modernisation.
  5. Given the pace of social change, the difference between rural and urban society in India is disappearing. Comment.
