About Nadoja Award

• It is a prestigious award presented annually by Kannada University, Hampi
• Instituted : 1995
• Award is given to eminent personalities for their contribution in various fields.
• The word “Nadoja” belongs to Adikavi Pampa which means `teacher to the Land’s.

• First recipient of award: Kuvempu(Literature), S. Nijalingappa(Politics) and Gangubai Hangal (Hindustani Music)
