About Indira Point
- It is the southernmost point of India’s territory
- Location : Village in the Nicobar district at Great Nicobar Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
- Point was formerly known as Pygmalion Point and Parsons Point
Geography
- Port Blair is connected to mainland India via air service.
- Indira Point is along the Great Channel, popularly referred to as the ‘Six Degree Channel’, is a major shipping lane for international traffic
- Galathea National Park and Lighthouse are the major attractions
- Neighbouring Island : Rondo Island, Indonesia
