• It is the southernmost point of India’s territory
• Location : Village in the Nicobar district at Great Nicobar Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
• Point was formerly known as Pygmalion Point and Parsons Point

• Indira Point is along the Great Channel, popularly referred to as the ‘Six Degree Channel’, is a major shipping lane for international traffic
