COMMUNITY RAINWATER HARVESTING POLICY

NEWS – Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) planning a new community rainwater harvesting policy aiming at filling lakes and recharging groundwater

  • Proposed project involves installing pipes from buildings within a 500-meter circumference to channel water directly to lakes.
  • Initial phase targets Varthur and Bellandur lakes.
