NEW FLAG AND INSIGNIA OF THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA

NEWS – The President of India recently unveiled the new flag and insignia of the Supreme Court at the National Conference of District Judiciary in New Delhi.

HIGHLIGHTS

About the New Flag

  • The flag is blue in color, representing India’s legal and cultural heritage.
  • It features three central symbols:
    • Ashoka Chakra
    • Supreme Court Building
    • The Constitution of India

About the New Insignia

  • The insignia includes the phrases:
    • “Supreme Court of India”
    • “Yato Dharmastato Jayah” (in Devanagari script)
  • The Sanskrit phrase means, “Where there is Dharma, there is victory”, reflecting the Court’s commitment to justice and righteousness.
