News: The Minister of State for Communications announced that the Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA) has expanded its membership to 90 organizations.

  • Promote indigenous 6G R&D.
  • Build an Atmanirbhar and globally competitive 6G ecosystem.
  • Ensure India's interests are reflected in global 6G standards and intellectual property (IP).

  • Global Partners: Collaborates with: NextG Alliance (USA), 6G-IA (Europe), 6G Forum (South Korea), XGMF (Japan), 6G Brasil, European Space Agency (ESA)
  • Spectrum Planning: Advises DoT on future 6G spectrum roadmap.
  • Advanced R&D: Supports Terahertz (THz) testbeds, including the 6G Terahertz Testbed at SAMEER, Kolkata under the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF).
  • Global Standards: Contributes to the ITU's IMT-2030 framework.
  • Startup Support: Promotes development of SoCs, multi-chip modules, and IoT devices through the Technology Development and Investment Promotion (TDIP) scheme.
