Logo and Theme Colour

  • The logo has undergone a design update, with the globe-like structure’s colour shifting from grey to orange.
  • This change may invite political criticism, especially from opposition parties, due to concerns over the “saffronisation” of public sector enterprises.
  • Earlier in the year, a similar shift in the Doordarshan logo’s colour from ruby red to saffron had attracted political controversy.

New Services Introduced

Spam-Blocking Solution

  • BSNL introduced seven new services, including a spam-blocking solution.
  • This solution will automatically filter out phishing attempts and malicious SMS, creating a spam-free network experience.

Wi-Fi Roaming

  • The company also launched Wi-Fi roaming services, allowing BSNL network users to connect to any BSNL FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Wi-Fi network while travelling.
