HIGHLIGHTS
Selection and Funding
- C-CAMP and Partner Institutes: Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) selected along with IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, and IISc Bengaluru.
- Funding: Supported by the Wadhwani Foundation with an annual funding of $1 million.
Objectives and Goals
- Transform Research: Convert academic and laboratory research by Indian faculty, students, and researchers into real-world, scalable solutions.
- Economic and Societal Benefits: Aim to create long-term economic value and societal benefits through marketed products.
C-CAMP WIN-COE INITIATIVE
- Acceleration of Research: Focus on accelerating home-grown research and discoveries.
- Inclusive Solutions: Develop an ecosystem for inclusive and equitable solutions using emerging technologies like Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering.
- Collaboration: Promote collaboration between industry, universities, research institutions, and the government.

Support and Implementation
- Expert Selection: Solutions selected by a national jury of experts.
- Funding and Support: C-CAMP WIN-COE will provide funding, incubation, mentorship, and hand-holding to make solutions commercially viable.
CENTRE FOR CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR PLATFORMS (C-CAMP)
- The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) is an initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India.
- Established in 2009, C-CAMP serves as a dynamic hub for life sciences innovation, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and the startup ecosystem.
