DIGITAL CRIMINAL CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CCMS)
NEWS – Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated the digital Criminal Case Management System (CCMS) of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and e-inaugurated NIA’s new branch offices in Jammu and Kochi, along with a residential complex in Raipur.

- The CCMS is designed to strengthen NIA’s capabilities against terrorism and organized crime cases.
Features of CCMS and Sankalan App:
- CCMS is a user-friendly browser-based software aimed at improving coordination and justice delivery in NIA’s operations.
- Sankalan app, launched alongside CCMS, serves as a guide to navigate through new criminal laws, aiding stakeholders in understanding legal provisions.
Benefits of CCMS:
- The new software will assist NIA personnel in coordinating investigations and operations effectively.
- It will help in organizing, integrating, and digitalizing data generated during investigations, ensuring expeditious and streamlined processes.
- CCMS and Sankalan app are part of efforts to standardize investigations, boost supervision, and aid in implementing newly legislated criminal laws.
- The initiatives also aim to foster stronger cooperation between central and state agencies, including Anti-Terror Squads.
