E-ACCIDENT REPORTING PORTAL – BENGALURU

 

NEWS: Bengaluru’s e-accident portal is witnessing ~60 users reporting cases dailyà Around 40% of minor accident cases are now handled online.

ABOUT THE INITIATIVE

  • Launched by Karnataka Home Department for online reporting of minor road accidents.
  • Citizens can report accidents via the ASTraM app without visiting police stations.
  • No FIR required → only acknowledgement generated for insurance claims.
