NEWS: The 13th edition of the India–Sri Lanka bilateral naval exercise, SLINEX-26, is being conducted at Visakhapatnam.

ABOUT SLINEX-26

• SLINEX is a bilateral naval exercise between India and Sri Lanka.
• It aims to strengthen maritime cooperation, interoperability and mutual understanding between the two navies.
• The exercise has strengthened India–Sri Lanka maritime ties for over two decades.

INDIAN NAVY PARTICIPATION

• INS Kavaratti – Indigenous Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Corvette.
• INS Jyoti – Fleet Tanker providing fuel and logistical support to naval ships.
