SIGNIFICANCE
- There is a transaction of around 2,000 to 3,000 kg of cocoons, every day.
- Around 25 to 50 farmers and reelers attend the auction everyday
- More than 2,500 people are involved in sericulture in Mysuru district
- Mulberry is grown on around 3,000 to 4,000 hectares.
