News: INS Mangrol, the 3rd of 8 Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts (ASW SWC), has been delivered to the Indian Navyà Indigenously designed and built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).

Key Features:

• Primary role: Anti-submarine warfare in shallow/coastal waters.
• Named after Mangrol, a historic coastal town in Gujarat.
• Indigenous content: Over 80%.
• Propulsion: Diesel Engine + Waterjet propulsion.
• Weapons/Sensors: Lightweight torpedoes, indigenous ASW rockets and shallow-water sonars.

• Search & Rescue (SAR).
• Low-intensity maritime operations.
