NEWS – The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), based in Bengaluru, is expanding its role from accreditation to include social responsibility initiatives. This effort will leverage the network of accredited Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) across India.

Role of College Students and Employed Youth
- STEM Education: Assisting schoolchildren in STEM subjects through practical experiences.

- Cultural Camps: Conducting camps to promote Indian culture and values among employed youth.
- Yoga Course Accreditation: NAAC plans to accredit international yoga courses to enhance their global recognition.
NAAC
- Operates under the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and certify HEIs.
- Accreditation Process: Institutions are evaluated on standards including curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, and research.
- Institutions receive grades from A++ to C, with D indicating non-accreditation.
