NEWS: Since its launch in September 2025, PAIMANA has brought 1,847 Central Sector projects worth ₹40.54 lakh crore under automated monitoring across 17 Ministries.

ABOUT

  • Project Assessment, Infrastructure Monitoring and Analytics for Nation-Building.
  • Ministry: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).
  • Purpose: Monitoring Central Sector infrastructure projects costing ₹150 crore or more.
  • Launched: 2025; replaced OCMS (2006).
  • Data Principle: “One Data, One Entry” through secure APIs.
  • Dashboard: Tracks 165 indicators on growth, targets and capacity utilisation.
  • Coverage: Power, Civil Aviation, Telecommunications, Railways, Roads, and Ports/Shipping/Waterways.
  • PAIMANA-CRIP: Launched in July 2026; replaced DPIIT’s IPMP and feeds data into PRAGATI and Project Monitoring Group.

SIGNIFICANCE

  • Enables real-time cost and project monitoring.
  • Reduces data duplication and reconciliation delays.
  • Helps identify land/Right-of-Way and environmental clearance bottlenecks.
  • Projects costing ₹500 crore+ can be escalated for Cabinet-level review through PRAGATI/PMG.
