SEMICONDUCTOR TRAINING FABRICATION FACILITY AT IISC BENGALURU

News: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated a Semiconductor Training Fabrication (Fab) Facility at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

About the Facility

  • To develop a skilled workforce for India's rapidly growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector.
  • Supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA).
  • Equipped with advanced cleanroom facilities, semiconductor processing equipment, and characterization tools.
  • Provides hands-on training in semiconductor fabrication, microfabrication, device manufacturing, and cleanroom operations.
