- Mangaluru is among the dozen Indian cities that have been included into the River Cities Alliance (RCA).
- The International Drought Resilience Alliance (IDRA) was launched on COP27 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). Spain and Senegal jointly launched the alliance to promote cooperation and preparedness against future droughts.
- “per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances,” (PFAs), which are called “forever chemicals” because of their tendency to stick around in the atmosphere, rainwater and soil for long periods of time. According to the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), PFAs are man-made chemicals used to make non-stick cookware, water-repellent clothing, stain-resistant fabrics, cosmetics, fire fighting forms and many other products that resist grease, water and oil.
- TARKASH is a joint exercise by the National Security Guard (NSG) and US Special Operations Forces. The exercise also included a drill for tackling chemical and biological attacks by terrorists.
