Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR): Recently, DGTR Organises Media Briefing on Trade Remedy Measures and Fair-Trade Practices+ DGTR is India's apex, national authority responsible for administering trade defensive measures to protect the domestic economy from unfair global trade practices+ Functioning as – an attached office under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (currently headed by Shri Amitabh Kumar)+ Ensures – a level playing field for domestic producers in compliance with World Trade Organization (WTO) guidelines.
