IR – Cardiff Agreement (IE): The First Ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland signed the Cardiff Agreement+ It asserts the right to self-determination, calling on UK to facilitate constitutional change toward independence for Scotland and Wales, and a border poll for Irish reunification in Northern Ireland+ The UK consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Ariosoma cmfriense: New eel species described from the Arabian Sea, named after the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI)+ A new species of conger eel, named after the institute to mark its 80th anniversary year+ Location – From the deep waters off Kollam in Kerala at a depth of about 300 m in the Arabian Sea+ Distinct species – Identified based on a combination of morphological characteristics and molecular evidence+ It was distinguished from the 12 currently recognised Ariosoma species reported from Indian and neighbouring waters through detailed taxonomic examination.
