Tamirabharani (Porunai) river: Origin: Agastyarkoodam peak of Pothigai hills of the Western Ghats, above Papanasam in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu+ It flows through Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts of the Tamil Nadu state into the Gulf of Mannar+ It is the only perennial river in Tamil Nadu, fed by both the Southwest and Northeast monsoons+ It flows towards the north direction initially+ However, later changes to the east direction+ Major tributaries: Peyar, Ullar, Pambar, Servalar, Manimuthar, Gadananathi ,Pachaiyar, Chithar.

Blackbuck: It is a medium-sized fast, diurnal antelope native to India and Nepal+ Habitat: The blackbuck mostly lives in open grasslands, dry scrub areas, and thinly forested areas+ Distribution: It is widespread in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and other areas throughout peninsular India+ State animal: of Punjab, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh+ Conservations Status: IUCN Red List: Least Concerned+ Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 (India): Schedule I, CITES: Appendix III.

National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (NCDRC): It is a quasi-judicial commission originally set up in 1988 under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986, it currently operates under the modernized Consumer Protection Act, 2019+ Objective: To provide inexpensive, speedy, and summary redressal of consumer disputes+ It is headed by a sitting or a retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India or a sitting or a retired Chief Justice of the High Court+ It shall have jurisdiction to entertain a complaint valued more than two crore and also have appellate and revisional jurisdiction from the orders of State Commissions.
