  • The Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Park, established in 1927 to commemorate Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV’s 25-year rule, is currently in a deteriorated state due to neglect by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Built by Dewan Sir Mirza Ismail, it spans between Town Hall and Jumma Masjid. Despite its historical significance and lush greenery in the past, the park has suffered from neglect over the last 15 years. It now serves as a dumping ground and illegal parking area, particularly at night, affecting its aesthetic appeal and original purpose

The campaign focuses on health, agriculture, education, and financial inclusion, with specific targets such as Antenatal Care registration, Soil Health Card distribution, and school infrastructure improvements. Districts and blocks will implement action plans, conduct monitoring, and collaborate with central and state governments to ensure sustainable development.
  • The World Drug Report 2024, released by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), reveals a significant increase in global drug use, with 292 million people consuming drugs in 2022, marking a 20% rise over the past decade. Cannabis remains the most widely used drug with 228 million users, followed by opioids, amphetamines, cocaine, and ecstasy. The report highlights the emergence of Nitazenes, highly potent synthetic opioids, contributing to increased overdose deaths in high-income countries. Globally, 64 million people suffer from drug use disorders, yet only 1 in 11 receive treatment, with notable gender disparities (1 in 18 women vs. 1 in 7 men). In 2022, law enforcement actions for drug offences affected 7 million people, resulting in over 1.6 million convictions.
