  • Kristu Jayanti College organised the G20 University Connect International Conclave on G20 Presidency
  • Karnataka is the first State in the country to start mental health screening initiative under Matru Chaitanya, a scheme that provides counselling for pregnant and lactating women.
  • Kaveri-2, a software designed to prevent multiple registration of the same property and other fraudulent transactions, will be adopted by all sub-registrar offices in Karnataka. The new software ensures registration of properties in just 10 minutes and relieves public of the ordeal of waiting at the sub-registrar offices for hours or depending on touts.
  • Sub-registrar offices in Karnataka are set for a makeover in a citizen-friendly manner on the lines of the passport offices by including facilities for general public like waiting area, restrooms, food area, ramp, and lifts. The Department of Stamps and Registration has prepared a blueprint in this regard. This has already been adopted by the sub-registrar offices in Byatarayanapura of Bengaluru, Sankeshwar, and Belagavi South.

  • Japan’s Asia Energy Transition Initiative (AETI), launched in 2021, initially supported the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries towards achieving net zero emissions, including financial assistance of $10 billion for renewable energy. Japan now looks forward to supporting India’s clean energy transition by including the country in the AETI. It aims to achieve both sustainable growth and carbon neutrality in Asia.
