- Thousands of devotees witnessed the Cauvery Theerthodbhava at Talacauvery in Kodagu recently. Theerthodbhava is an annual event during which water gushes out from the spring signalling the birth of the river and is marked with traditional gaiety.
- Heavy rain and landslides are occurring all over southern Kerala. A low pressure system developed in the east-central Arabian Sea on October 14, moved closer to Kerala coast and triggered severe weather.
