NEWS:  Karnataka Government will organize "Freedom Habba" at Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru on Independence Day to celebrate the state's cultural diversity.

Highlights

• Theme: "Namma Ooru, Nimma Ooru, Ellara Bengaluru".
• Objective: Showcase Karnataka's and Bengaluru's multicultural heritage through public participation.
• Around 40 contingents representing different regions and communities.

Major Events

• Freedom Parade – Cultural parade by regional contingents.
• Makkala Mela – Children's fair with games & workshops.
• Soul Sante Festival – Over 120 stalls featuring handicrafts, textiles, food & local products.
• Karnataka Freedom Path – District-wise pavilions showcasing Karnataka's contribution to the freedom struggle.
• Guided public tours of Vidhana Soudha, including the Assembly Hall.
• Evening music concert and fireworks display.
