News: A 3-day TTX under the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) was conducted at the Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam.
What is TTX?
- Simulated maritime security exercise → commanders rehearse war-gaming + joint protocols + coordinated responses without deploying actual assets.
Participants
- CSC members: India + Sri Lanka + Maldives + Mauritius + Bangladesh.
- Also includes designated observer states.
Key Focus
- Non-traditional threats → drug trafficking + maritime terrorism + human trafficking + piracy + IUU fishing.
- SOP harmonisation → coordinated response during maritime crises.
- Information sharing → Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) + surveillance + intelligence + white-shipping information.
