WHAT IS DAP (DI-AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE)?

• Water-soluble salt that consists of ammonium ions (NH₄⁺) and phosphate ions (PO₄³⁻)
• Widely used fertilizer in agriculture and has other industrial applications
• Contains nitrogen and phosphorus, two essential nutrients for plant growth
• Ammonium nitrogen in DAP is readily available for plant uptake
• Phosphate provides phosphorus, crucial for root development, flowering, and overall plant energy transfer

HOW IS NANO DAP MORE EFFICIENT

• Nano size Fertilizer is easy to enter easily inside the seed surface or through stomata and other plant openings
• Better assimilation of the fertilizer inside the plant system
• Leads to higher seed vigour, more chlorophyll, photosynthetic efficiency, better quality and increase in crop yields

WHY NANO DAP

• In addition to being more efficient than conventional DAP, Nano DAP has a few other benefits.
• More pocket-friendly than its conventional counterpart (500 ml bottle of Nano DAP = 50-kg bag of conventional DAP)
• Lesser cost of Nano DAP is also beneficial to government subsidies
• Easier to transport, store, and use
• Adoption of domestically-produced Nano DAP — produced in Kalol, Gujarat — is set to significantly reduce this import burden
