Background:
Karnataka, a leader in EV policy since 2017, has attracted ₹25,000 Cr in investments across the EV value chain and registered 2.5 lakh EVs, ranking 3rd in India. With over 5,400 charging stations, the state is poised for further clean mobility growth.
Policy Announcement:
The Karnataka Clean Mobility Policy 2025–30 is launched to be unveiled at Invest Karnataka 2025 (Feb 11–14, 2025) and will replace the previous 2017 EV Policy. It aims to position Karnataka as Asia’s top destination for clean mobility manufacturing and innovation.

Manufacturing of EVs (fixed/swappable battery), hydrogen/fuel cell vehicles.
