NEWS – INS Udaygiri, the second stealth frigate under Project 17A, was delivered to the Indian Navy in a record 37 months

HIGHLIGHTS

• Built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. (MDSL), it showcases India’s growing naval manufacturing capabilities
• Project 17A is a successor to the Shivalik-class frigates under Project 17
• Udaygiri is one of seven P-17A frigates; the remaining five will be delivered by 2026
