E-SUSHRUT@CLINIC FOR SMALL & MEDIUM HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS

NEWS – On 14 August 2025, the National Health Authority (NHA) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) signed an MoU to launch e-Sushrut@Clinic, a lightweight, cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) for small and medium healthcare providers.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key Features of e-Sushrut@Clinic

  • Lightweight HMIS: Cloud-based solution tailored for outpatient clinics and small hospitals.
  • ABDM-enabled: Integrates with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) tools such as Health Facility Registry (HFR) and Health Professionals Registry (HPR).
  • Functional Modules: Patient record management, prescriptions, telemedicine, pharmacy, billing, and diagnostics.
  • Ease of Onboarding: Doctors can register directly through HFR/HPR or within the platform itself.
  • AIIMS-proven model: Adapted from C-DAC’s flagship e-Sushrut HMIS, already in use at 17 AIIMS and 4000+ facilities.

Significance

  2. Strengthening ABDM Ecosystem: Promotes interoperability and standardization across digital health platforms.
  3. Empowering Small Providers: Reduces dependence on costly private IT systems and ensures data security.
  4. Patient-Centric Benefits: Improves care continuity, transparency, and satisfaction through digitized records and telemedicine.
