NEWS – The Union Cabinet approved four projects under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), furthering India’s push to become a global electronics manufacturing hub.

- Location Distribution:
- Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Two projects
- Punjab: One project
- Andhra Pradesh: One project (exact location yet to be finalised)
- Cumulative Mission Projects: Now 10 under the ₹76,000-crore ISM

- SiCSem – Silicon carbide integrated facility, Info Valley, Bhubaneswar.
- Continental Device India Pvt. Ltd. – Expansion of discrete semiconductor manufacturing facility, Mohali, Punjab.
- 3D Glass Solutions Inc. – Vertically integrated advanced packaging & embedded glass substrate unit, Bhubaneswar.
- Advanced System in Package (ASIP) Technologies – Semiconductor unit in Andhra Pradesh.
India Semiconductor Mission (ISM)
- Launched: 2021, under Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY)
- Financial Outlay: ₹76,000 crore
- Objective: Build a vibrant semiconductor & display ecosystem; position India as a global electronics manufacturing and design hub.
- Function: Operates as a specialised division within Digital India Corporation with full administrative and financial powers.
- Advisory Board: Comprises global semiconductor experts.
