Economic & Technological Cooperation Highlights

  • India is Singapore’s 4th-largest tourist source, with over 650,000 Indian visitors in 2006.

  • Singapore is a global semiconductor hub, producing ~10% of the world’s output and 5% of wafer fabrication.
  •  The sector is key to its economy, with nine of the world’s top 15 semiconductor firms present in Singapore.
  •  Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), signed in 2005, enhances bilateral trade and supports cooperation in infrastructure, finance, IP, and technology.
