Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project: India and Bhutan signed Tariff Protocol of Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project+ 1020 MW Run of the river project on Punatsangchhu river+ Origin: The rivers Phochhu and Mochhu confluence to form the Punatsangchhu river in Bhutan+ It flows southerly to enter the Indian plains of West Bengal and is a tributary of Brahmaputra river.
Neuromorphic Sensor: It mimics response of the brain to environmental changes, primarily humidity+ They emulate the biological neural systems by integrating sensing, memory, and processing into a single device+ Significance: Providing Neuromorphic sensors to perform sensing and signal processing simultaneously in single device reduces energy consumption and data-processing requirements compared to conventional electronics.
Measles: Highly contagious RNA virus (genus Morbillivirus); spreads via airborne droplets, remains infectious for hours+ High fever, runny nose, conjunctivitis, characteristic Koplik spots (white mouth lesions), rashes etc+ Complications: Severe cases can lead to pneumonia, encephalitis, and blindness+ Prevention: Safe, effective two-dose MMR vaccine (a combination vaccine against measles, mumps, and rubella)+ India has set a goal of eliminating Measles and Rubella by 2026.
