  • Goal: Position Karnataka as a global biotech leader with a $100 billion market value by 2030.
  • Targets:
    • Create 300 biotech companies (including 50 innovative firms).
    • Generate 30,000 jobs by 2029.
    • Train 20,000 individuals through 200+ institutions.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Biomanufacturing for health, climate, energy, and food security.
    • Emerging domains: bio-agriculture, marine biotech, synthetic biology, genomics, medical devices, space biotech, etc.
  • Support & Incentives:
    • Fiscal incentives for startups, MSMEs, and large firms.
    • Funding & mentorship for early-stage startups; growth support for mid-stage firms.
    • Preferential procurement for local biotech products.
    • Regulatory Sandbox to fast-track innovation.
