Vote bank politics relates to using political machinery and decision making power for the sake of garnering votes rather than for bona fide public interest of all. Vote bank in India politics refers to those section of voters who in case of India generally vote to one party mainly considering the the religion, caste language, region and sex basis. Indian constitution's cherished goal where our fundamental duties are urging us to become rational, scientific, seems to be a long achievable goal as political parties become successful to divide people on narrow lines.

Broader governance will have to improve for voters to reduce the reliance on vote bank.
Fast-track courts are necessary because politicians are able to delay the judicial process and serve for decades before prosecution.
The Election Commission must take adequate measures to break the nexus between the criminals and the politicians.
