WHO ARE AWARDED

  • Human rights activist Prof Anand Teltumbde and Prof Dr N G Mahadevappa of Dharwad were honored Basava awards
  • Pampa Award: Na D’souza

BASAVA AND PAMPA AWARDS

  • Pampa Award is a literary award in the Indian state of Karnataka. The award was established in 1987 by the government of Karnataka. It is the highest literary honor conferred by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka State, and recognises works written in the Kannada language. Kuvempu was the first recipient of the award
  • Basava Puraskara is an award conferred by the Government of Karnataka. The award is presented on the basis of an individual’s contribution for social reforms and social change and work for bringing about religious harmony. Started in 2000 and first won by Saraswathi Gora
