NEWS: The Union Minister for Rural Development launched the AI-enabled Rural Internal Audit Portal during the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan at Pusa Campus, New Delhi.
ABOUT THE PORTAL
- An AI-powered, cloud-based digital platform for managing the complete lifecycle of public internal audits.
- Developed by the Office of the Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA) in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
- Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Rural Development.
OBJECTIVES
- Digitize, standardize, and simplify internal public audits.
- Strengthen transparency, accountability, and financial discipline.
- Shift from compliance-based audits to risk-based, data-driven audits using AI.
- Create a centralized repository of audit records and Action Taken Reports (ATRs).
- Promote paperless and sustainable governance.
