  • Finland has once again claimed the title of the world’s happiest country for the seventh consecutive year, according to the annual UN-sponsored World Happiness Report. India is ranked 126th on the list. It is released by Gallup, the Oxford Wellbeing Research Centre, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), and the World Happiness Report’s Editorial Board

  • Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications, Govt. of India, elected co-chair of ITU’s Digital Innovation Board for telecom and ICT collaboration. ITU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance promotes inclusive digital development with various initiatives. India actively participates in ITU, hosting the Global Innovation Centre and collaborating with Japan and Bahrain on ICT areas. ITU, a UN agency, manages global connectivity, sets standards, and works for universal digital access. Despite technological advancements, 2.6 billion people lack access to essential technologies, a gap ITU aims to bridge.
