AP AMARAVATI QUANTUM VALLEY PLAN
NEWS – Andhra Pradesh Government ratified the Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV) Declaration via G.O. Ms No. 23 on July 7, 2025.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Aims to make Amaravati a global hub for quantum technologies by 2035.
- Target: Attract $1 billion in investments by January 1, 2029.
- Declaration follows the Quantum Valley Workshop held on June 30, 2025 in Vijayawada.
- Key stakeholders: Government, academia, startups, global partners, and industries.
- AQV will establish QChipIN, India’s largest open quantum testbed, within one year.
- Testbed to integrate quantum computers, QKD fiber links, and sensor platforms for BFSI, health-tech, defence, logistics, and space sectors.
- IBM to install Quantum System Two at AQV by Jan 1, 2026, targeting 100 quantum algorithm tests.
- By 2027, three quantum computers using diverse qubit technologies to be operational.
- Focus on indigenous production of quantum hardware; aims for Rs 5,000 crore in annual exports by 2030.
- Will create a National Startup Forum with VC funding and mentorship.
- Global Quantum Collaboration Council (GQCC) to be set up for international R&D and standardization.
