NEWS – DRDO successfully completed user trials of the Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) from INS Kavaratti between June 23–July 7, 2025.

HIGHLIGHTS

Developed by: ARDE, Pune (DRDO), in collaboration with HEMRL (Pune) and NSTL (Visakhapatnam).

Features:

• Fully indigenous design

• Compatible with Indigenous Rocket Launcher (IRL) on Navy ships

Trial Results:

• 17 ERASR rockets tested
• Parameters evaluated: range, fuze functioning, warhead reliability
• All trial objectives successfully met
