NEWS – The Ministry of Power, through the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), has launched the ADEETIE Scheme (Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries & Establishments).

HIGHLIGHTS

  • It aims to promote the adoption of energy-efficient technologies in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance industrial competitiveness and meet India’s climate and energy goals.
  • The scheme is tailored for Udyam-registered MSMEs and provides technical and financial assistance for implementing technologies that ensure minimum 10% energy savings.
  • Financial incentives include interest subvention:
    • 5% for Micro and Small Enterprises
    • 3% for Medium Enterprises
  • Technical support includes:
    • Investment Grade Energy Audits (IGEA)
    • Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
    • Monitoring and Verification (M&V) post implementation
  • The scheme will be facilitated via an ADEETIE online platform to simplify access to finance and technical assistance.
  • It also supports capacity building to empower MSMEs in energy-efficient project execution.
  • This is the first-of-its-kind initiative by BEE, expected to contribute significantly to green growth, job creation, and the net-zero mission.
  • ADEETIE aligns with India’s broader policy focus on sustainable industrial development and climate resilience.
