NEWS  – The Ministry of Education (MoE) has introduced five free Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses on the SWAYAM Plus portal to enhance digital skills among students.

HIGHLIGHTS

Courses Offered

1. AI/ML Using Python – Basics of AI, ML, statistics, optimization, and data visualization (36 hours).
2. Cricket Analytics with AI – Sports data analysis using Python, with cricket as a case study (25 hours).
3. AI in Physics – Application of ML and neural networks to solve physics problems (45 hours).
4. AI in Accounting – Integration of AI in accounting practices for commerce students (45 hours).
5. AI in Chemistry – Predicting molecular properties, drug design, and chemical modeling using AI (45 hours).

All courses conclude with assessments and provide certifications upon completion.

About SWAYAM & SWAYAM Plus

• SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds), launched in 2017, is India’s indigenous MOOC platform covering courses from Class 9 to postgraduate level.
• It follows a four-quadrant model: video lectures, downloadable reading material, self-assessment tests, and discussion forums.
• SWAYAM Plus, operated by IIT Madras, integrates industry collaboration, multilingual content (12 languages), AI-enabled guidance, and pathways to employment.
