ADEETIE SCHEME
NEWS – The Ministry of Power, through the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), has launched the ADEETIE Scheme (Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries & Establishments).
HIGHLIGHTS
- It aims to promote the adoption of energy-efficient technologies in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance industrial competitiveness and meet India’s climate and energy goals.
- The scheme is tailored for Udyam-registered MSMEs and provides technical and financial assistance for implementing technologies that ensure minimum 10% energy savings.
- Financial incentives include interest subvention:
- 5% for Micro and Small Enterprises
- 3% for Medium Enterprises
- Technical support includes:
- Investment Grade Energy Audits (IGEA)
- Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
- Monitoring and Verification (M&V) post implementation
- The scheme will be facilitated via an ADEETIE online platform to simplify access to finance and technical assistance.
- It also supports capacity building to empower MSMEs in energy-efficient project execution.
- This is the first-of-its-kind initiative by BEE, expected to contribute significantly to green growth, job creation, and the net-zero mission.
- ADEETIE aligns with India’s broader policy focus on sustainable industrial development and climate resilience.
