  • Garuda Aerospace unveiled SURAJ, a solar-powered unmanned intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) aerial J-Glider at the Aero India 2023. SURAJ is an ISR high-altitude drone designed specifically for surveillance operations, providing real-time information to the high command, and protect jawans on the ground.

  • Scientists studying Antarctica’s vast Thwaites Glacier nicknamed the Doomsday Glacier say warm water is seeping into its weak spots, worsening melting caused by rising temperatures. Thwaites, which is roughly the size of Florida, represents more than half a metre of global sea level rise potential, and could destabilise neighbouring glaciers that have the potential to cause a further three-meter rise.
