Why in news? Team of birdwatchers discover news species of elusive wren babblers in Arunachal Pradesh 

Highlights 

  • The bird is named after Lisu the local community of Arunchal Pradesh 
  • It‘s populations is more accessible to Namdapha and present more sites in the mountain range.
  • It is recent findings published by Indian BIRDS , peer view journal of South Asian Ornithology , recorded a rare and elusive grey billed wren babbler  which are found mostly in Myanmar and in smaller numbers in China and Thailand
  • There has been only one report of the sighting of the wren babbler in India way back in 1988 in the same mountain.
